Welcome to The House of Fandango, a UK-based brand creating mindful wellness products for children designed to support mental health, emotional wellbeing, and positive self-esteem.
Founded by a mum on a mission, The House of Fandango began as Hug Me Pillows — comforting, sensory pillows created to help children feel calm, supported, and emotionally safe. We launched with five Hug Me Pillows, each focused on a positive character attribute such as kindness, confidence, resilience, and self-belief, helping children develop emotional awareness through everyday comfort.
As our range grew, so did our vision. Hug Me Pillows became the heart of a wider collection, and The House of Fandango was born — a welcoming home for children’s wellbeing gifts, mindfulness tools, and positive affirmation products.

Our ethics
Sustainability and welfare are central to our values. Our products have been made using rPET recycled polyester, sourced through OEKO-TEX® approved and FAMA-certified factories, ensuring high environmental and ethical standards. We now proudly manufacture in the UK, working in small quantities and staying closely connected to the product development process.
What Does FAMA Mean?
FAMA stands for Facility and Merchandise Authorization. In simple terms, it’s an approval a factory needs to manufacture products that feature licensed brands and characters — most famously those from The Walt Disney Company, including Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars.
A factory with FAMA certification has been independently audited and approved to meet the brand’s strict standards. These usually cover worker welfare, human rights, safety, environmental responsibility, and product integrity, ensuring everything is made ethically and responsibly.
For Disney-licensed products, FAMA certification is essential. Without it, a factory isn’t legally allowed to produce or distribute items using that intellectual property.

What are our Hug Me Pillows are made from?
rPET polyester (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) is a sustainable fabric made from recycled plastic — most commonly used plastic bottles. Instead of ending up in landfill or the ocean, this plastic is given a second life as high-quality, durable textile.
How rPET Polyester Is Made
The process of creating rPET polyester is carefully controlled to ensure quality, safety, and sustainability at every step:
- Collection
Used PET plastic bottles are collected from recycling systems and waste streams. - Sorting & Cleaning
The bottles are sorted by type and colour, then thoroughly washed to remove labels, caps, and impurities. - Shredding
Clean bottles are shredded into small flakes. - Melting & Extrusion
These flakes are melted down and pushed through fine nozzles to create new polyester fibres. - Spinning into Yarn
The fibres are spun into yarn, ready to be woven or knitted into fabric. - Fabric Production
The yarn is transformed into textiles that are strong, versatile, and suitable for a wide range of products.

We care about what our products come in just as much as what goes into them. That’s why all of our packaging is made using FSC®-approved materials, which means the paper and card come from responsibly managed forests that protect wildlife, people, and the planet.

Our packaging isn’t just something to throw away. We’ve designed it to have a second life:

- A built-in carry handle, so there’s no need for a plastic shopping bag
- Craft-friendly outer packaging, ideal for turning into something fun once it’s empty
